Common Questions

Why does the app request camera permission?

Camera permission is used only to control the phone flashlight. SOS Flash Signal does not take photos or record videos.

Why does the app request notification permission?

Notification permission is used so widget-triggered SOS or flashlight actions can show an active notification with a Stop button.

The flashlight does not work

Check that:

• camera permission is enabled
• your device has a flashlight
• no other app is currently using the camera or flashlight

You can still use screen flash and sound mode even if hardware flashlight is unavailable.

The widget does not appear

Try opening the app once after installation, then check your phone’s widget picker again. Some launchers may require a restart before showing a newly installed widget.

Safety Notice

Do not point flashing light at faces, drivers, animals, or traffic. Flashing lights may affect people sensitive to strobe or flashing patterns.
